We are excited to be recruiting for the next important piece of our history and new talent, an Audio-Visual Help Desk Technician! This position is responsible for resolving AV-related trouble tickets submitted by users of a dynamic Government program and follows up to ensure issues no longer persist.
The responsibilities of this role may include:
Analyzes issues and provides technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for AV hardware, software, and systems
Researches, studies, and resolves AV software and hardware issues of users, using all available resources
Determines whether the issue is caused by hardware, software, or system
Answers questions by applying AV knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures
Logs trouble tickets and maintains relevant records documenting all symptoms, troubleshooting and resolution
Maintains an accurate inventory of technological assets
Creates and maintains user-training manuals and procedures and provides training when necessary
Makes recommendations to Executive Management on what types of devices and technologies are needed for efficiency and success
Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal AV function and minimal downtime
Confers with Programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs
Communicates with software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work
Performs administrative duties including but not limited to completion and submission of purchase orders, travel requests, expense authorizations, expense reports, and return materials authorizations as needed
Must be willing to travel throughout the United States
Perform other related duties as assigned
To qualify for this position, you must possess a HS Diploma, or equivalent and at least 2 years of network maintenance and user technical support experience related to audio-visual. An AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is required.
