Will assist in booking and scheduling events, and with ensuring a high standard of hospitality in communicating with renters, performers, patrons, and visiting artists. Will assist in overseeing student workers in the areas of: Auditorium, Scene Shop, Lighting, Front of House, Sound, and Props and assign students to work when the theatre is in use for productions and rehearsals. Reports directly to the Department Chair for Performing Arts. Please note that this is a part-time position and will work an up to 29 hours a week that include evenings, and weekends. No state benefits.
High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Candidates must have working experience as a Theater Technician. Knowledge of theatre facilities and equipment used for lighting, scenic design, sound design, and costume design is essential. Must have supervisory skills and be able to communicate effectively with leadership, colleagues, internal clients and students. Candidates must be comfortable working under tight deadlines, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a member of a team. Successful completion and passing of a background check is required for employment.
